First year having two cats. We are going to be out of the country for 10 days. What do you usually do? Any websites or apps that will be helpful?

You have any friends/fam that live close to you?
As long as they aren't kittens, cats do pretty well on their own because they just sleep most of the day anyways.
If you have someone that can go by your crib once a day to refill/check their water & food and clean their litter box, plus maybe play with them a tiny bit, you'll be good. If the person could stop by twice a day then you're absolutely golden and have 0 to worry about. For most cats once a day is usually fine though, the only reason I'd say twice sometimes and play with them a little is because you're gone for so long.

It's the time of year most people have plans. And I have asked my sister if she wants to take them in so her kids can play with them. Would rather pay someone that actually has experience with animals though in case something happens (like vomiting hairballs). Found someone pretty good for $22 a day to do a drop in through rover.com. Will prolly go with that option unless there is some other better way im missing.

Always the least stressful option if the cats get to stay at your place. Staying somewhere else, family or not, will be stressful for them.

My lady and I have a cat. When we travel we set up the automatic feeder and that works just fine. As other have mentioned cats do their own thing

Just leave a 10 day supply of water/food out and if they dead when you get back then they dead.

Yeah man, I don't know about the service, but if it is a reputable company/service then just pay the $22 if you don't have anyone who can help you out. $220 is nothing for peace of mind when it comes to pets

Cats dont need a sitter, just leave the food and have a neighbor or family member check in twice in the 10 days

Unplug all electronic devices
Make sure there's nothing loose around they can choke on.
Sticky mouse/ roach traps....get rid of them
Go to Lowe's and buy a mixing tray.
They look like this
They are cheaper than cat litter trays and they are HUGE both sizes.
If u can, have someone come in every 2 days just for human contact and to make sure they aite.
