Photoshop Help

I have access Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended.  Dunno much about anything.  I have pictures of my son's first birthday and have maybe 3 or so that are perfect except for some random guest lurking in the background. Haha.  Anyone know how to remove them, or maybe just take my son and put him in an all white background or something?

Detailed explaination like I'm in elementary school kind of help needed.  Tell me like I'm an idiot.
Please help I'd like to print these out soon.  Thanks in advance NT

Thought it may not be 100% perfect since the background is pretty difficult to work with.

I woulda been disappointed if NTers went in on pictures of a baby. When its a grown man, they know what they gettin themselves into with the PS threads.

With that said, there hasnt been a good PS thread in a minute.

lol word...couldnt do it cause it was a kid...there was not much to do anyways...just switch heads but thats just too predictable nowadays
