Photoshp HELP PLEASE !

So can someone give me directions or lead me to a PS Tutorial that would show me how this guy made his black tshirt "fade" or not show (as much ) into the black background after he took the pic?

and after he used PS:

any help would be greatly appreciated, i ask because i have two pics that both have a black t-shirt as the backdrop n i wanna put them together on PS
