I am not on here nearly as much as I was in the past. When did the Admin/Mods start allowing these?

Which ones are you referring to?

And topics like "Who will be sent to the All Star Game? Lamarcus or Kevin?" aren't 'Player A > Player B'

I think he's referring to the Wilt vs. Bill Russell thread.

I'd let that slide because it's more of a historical discussion that is not likely affected by fanboys/Stans ready to fight over some dumb argument.

That was the topic that caught my eye ska, there have some been some other one's as well in the past few weeks.

Gotcha.

Yeah, I've said from the beginning that the main focus for that rule was the inability to maturely discuss Jordan vs. Kobe, then Kobe vs. LeBron.

Other comparisons were less volatile and immature, so they were/are more accepted by staff. We generally just keep track of the thread, see how it's going before shutting it down. But a Kobe/LeBron/JOrdan thread? Just shut that down from the jump.

No point in even entertaining the possibility that it will go smooth.

Sounds good, thanks for clearing that up.

Gotta admit tho, last couple years we had a real solid 15 page SG thread, and some decent pages of Bron and Kobe and Mike.
