@NFLDraftBites: #Raiders 3rd overall(2,200) want Picks 12, 42, 82 (1,860) & Future 3rd from #Dolphins. #Miami targeting Lane Johnson.

8o ???

Yeah, no. That's not happening, that rumor is fake.

We have 12, 42, 54, 77, 82. 3 is not worth 12, 42, 77 AND a future 3rd to grab an OT.

Sorry, that rumor is fake and not one time have I read that on Miami's side of things.

I checked that Twitter feed, he NOTHING but rumor scenarios. Lane at 8, Miami taking Rhodes at 12, etc. He doesn't know ****. I just tweeted him tellin him its a joke. :lol

Miami has tons of holes to fill, giving up 3 additional picks for 1 lineman would cause a RIOT by the fanbase. I'd start it. Dead serious.

Sorry for intruding, just saw the words Miami/rumor. :lol

Good luck yall, thanks for the info.

Yeah, straight speculation on what Miami may do right now based on Jake's departure. Supposedly, the Dolphins want to keep both 3rd rounders so a deal may work #12, #42, and #111. Gives the Dolphins pick #3, #54, #77, #82 8o

If we can get ANY trade partner to move down, I'd be ecstatic.

I had no idea what the rumor was. I just did a quick google search. I didn't think it was legit. I couldn't even find the actual tweet. I found it in a couple of forums.

IMO, any trade going down it will be with the 49ers, they have bunch of picks with not many holes to fill ....DO WORK REGGIE!!!

Rolando McClain's 2012 suspension voids guaranteed money

If you thought the Raiders cutting Rolando McClain was good news, you're going to love this. As it turns out, according to Joel Corry of the National Football Post, there was language in McClain's contract that voided all remaining guaranteed money should he be suspended for conduct.

Last season he was indeed suspended for two games for conduct detrimental to the team which means his remaining $3.635 million in previously guaranteed money is now voided. This brings his dead money against the cap from its previously assumed figure of $10.895 million down to $7.26 million - just $585k more than his 2013 cap hit would have been had he remained on the roster.

Basically what this means is it the cost of cutting him is negligible compared to keeping him. But keeping him would have been far more costly to the team dynamic and you can't put a price on that. That said, actual monetary value is nice as well. In this case, for Rolando McClain, it was literally payback time.

McClain officially became a free agent on Monday at 1pm Pacific time and the Raiders immediately began putting that $3.635 million to good use. In about 24 hours time, they signed two outside free agents - CB Mike Jenkins and S Usama Young -- and re-signed two of their own free agents - DE Andre Carter and CB Joselio Hanson. They are also believed to have tendered contracts to their remaining Exclusive Rights Free Agents - CB Brandian Ross, RB Jeremy Stewart, and OL Alex Parsons.

The contract figures of the newly signed free agents are not yet known, so it is hard to know the Raiders' exact cap number at this instant. However, the most recent figure before the flurry of signings on Monday and Tuesday at about $8 million under the salary cap.

You can figure the four signings carry a total cap hit between $3 million and $4 million which would leave the team with enough room to sign one or perhaps two more low cost free agents. If they do add a player or more than one, it would happen this week as off-season workouts begin next Monday. Free Agent quarterback Seneca Wallace is visiting on Wednesday and there is a decent chance the Raiders attempt to sign him to a minimum deal which would give the team three quarterbacks.
The cap room will open up again for the Raiders once June 1rolls around and the a large portion of Michael Huff's cap hit is distributed to 2014. We can expect more additions at that time.

******g loser :rollin

Raiders NOT signing Seneca Wallace

"Updating a previous item, the Raiders are not signing free agent QB Seneca Wallace.Reports that Wallace had beat out Tyler Thigpen to serve as the No. 3 quarterback behind Matt Flynn and Terrelle Pryor proved to be premature. Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle says the Raiders could sign 32-year-old Wallace "down the road," but they're not interested right now. He'll head back to the free-agent market. Davis on McKenzie: "He's doing what he was hired to do."

http://www.csnbayarea.com/blog/paul-gutierrez/davis-mckenzie-hes-doing-what-he-was-hired-do

While many observers wonder if second-year general manager Reggie McKenzie is operating without a net as he continues his massive makeover of the Raiders, owner Mark Davis has his back.

"Everything is going as planned," Davis told CSNCalifornia.com in an exclusive phone interview Thursday. "He's doing what he was hired to do. I'm very happy with it."

A mere 16 players currently under contract with the Raiders were on the roster on Jan. 1, 2012, the day the Raiders lost a season finale at home to San Diego and missed the playoffs. McKenzie was hired nine days later and then-coach Hue Jackson was shown the door.

I mentioned to Davis that McKenzie was performing a major facelift on the organization.

"Facelift?" Davis said. "I wouldn't put a word on it. He's just getting players. We've got to restructure things, rebuilding the (salary) cap, get some more players.

"He's doing the job. Yeah, he's my guy. I've never wavered from that. He's the only guy I've hired. Well, I traded for Carson Palmer, but (McKenzie) decided he was not part of the long-term plan, and I'm O.K. with that."

Davis, though, was not O.K. with the regression the Raiders showed in November of last season, which begs the question -- what if the Raiders actually regress record-wise in this upcoming rebuilding year from last season's mark of 4-12?

Earlier in the week McKenzie told SI.com he was not fearful of his job being on the line.

"I don't think along those lines," McKenzie said. "I just think of doing what's needed to make this team the best it can be long-term. That's my job. But fearful? No. Not at all.

"Mark knew the cap part of this was going to be a two-year deal. Mark is not his father. He is allowing me to do this, and we talk about it the process all the time. He's allowing me to do the job that needs to be done."

After all, McKenzie took on a team that was facing a $30-million salary cap hole.

This year, more than one-third of the cap will be in "dead money."

Next year? Oakland should have some $50 million to spend.

Davis also said he is still looking for a team president, of sorts, and names such as Ray Anderson, the NFL's senior vice president of football operations, Scott O'Neal, a former Madison Square Garden president, and Mike Holmgren have been linked to Oakland.

"I'm still looking to bring somebody in on that side," Davis said. "Have I found someone yet? No. It has to be the right fit."

Anyone read the latest Sports illustrated? They have a great 4 page article on the Raiders, some great stuff on how Reggie changing the whole organization. My co-worker let me read it this morning and i was
