Former Aztecs, Brice Butler arguably did the most to help his NFL stock at SDSU’s Tuesday Pro Day.

Butler didn’t really put up any flashy numbers last season – he finished with 24 receptions for 347 yards and four touchdowns – and even though he played in a senior all-star game, he wasn’t invited to February’s NFL Combine

Still, he vaulted himself onto the radar of NFL scouts on Tuesday with a smoking-fast 4.36 40-yard dash time.

That time would have made him the third-fastest receiver at the Combine.

Another Rod Streater with speed. I like the pick.

Side note: Naya Rivera from Glee is the sister of Mychal Rivera our 6th round pick.

Loving the draft so far. Still not sold on our DT/DEs, but the defense as a whole was upgraded.

Predicting the 53 man roster in September (obviously injuries and additional signings can change things.

QB: Flynn/Pryor/Wilson
RB: DMC/Jennings/Murray/Stewart
FB: Reece
WR: Streater/Moore/Criner/Ford/Vernon(I think he'll make the roster, probably 1 more receiver too)
TE: Rivera/Kasa/Ausberry
T: Veldheer/Watson/Barnes
G: Brisiel/Bergstorm/Nix/
C:Wiznewski/Parsons
That's 3 QBs, 5 RB/FBs, 5 WRs, 3 TEs, 8 OL
24 players on offense

DE: Houston/Hunter/Carter/Crawford/Bass
DT: Sims/Walker/Bilukidi/McGee
OLB: Kevin.Burnett/Maiava/Burris
MLB: Roach/Moore
CB: Hayden/Porter/Jenkins/Hanson/Adams
FS: Young/Ross
SS: Branch
That's 9 DL, 5 LBs, 8 DBs
23 players on defense

ST: Janokowski/King/Condo
3 players on ST (I'd like to keep Taiwan Jones for ST, dude flies down the field and usually is the first to get the returner. He can tackle ok as well. )

24+23+3=50.
Biggest position needs: S, DT, OG, WR
players in contention for the remaining 3 spots: CB Chekwa, DB Francies, RB/CB Jones, LB Kaelin Burnett, LB Goethel, LB Clayton, LB Kurn, TE Gordon, WR Butler and whatever other UDFAs Reggie signs.

While we had a good draft, we still have a lot of holes.
DT needs an upgrade and so does Safety. Also, I'm not sold on the pass rush, altho I think we'll have more 3-4 sets. I have no idea where Moore will play on defense, he can play DE or any of the LB positions. I'm thinking the starting linebackers will be Moore as a Wheeler replacement, Roach as the MLB and Burnett as the weak side(or Burnett at strong and Moore at weak). If we go 3-4 we can go Burnett-Moore-Roach-Maiava with Burris off the bench.
As far as the offense goes, we still need Guards. Watkins looks like our future RT and I think he'll step in and play right away.
Veldheer/Nix/Wiz/Brisiel/Watkins. Not sold on Bergstorm starting, we'll see tho.
TE: My guess is Rivera is the opening day starter. Seems crazy but we don't really have another TE. 1 out of Gordon, Kasa, Ausberry is getting cut and I don't see Reggie cutting his own draft pick so I think Gordon or Ausberry is gone.
Receivers: We have Streater and Moore, 2 great players w/ a lot of potential but ultimately they're just #2 receivers. Raiders still lack that true #1 guy, hopefully Streater turns into that. Then we can go Streater/Moore with Ford in the slot and Criner as the 4th. I like Vernon, he has potential and mits.
Don't ask me who's starting at qb, idk. I think Wilson will get a start at some point in the year tho.

^On point analysis. I really could see all of those positions play out that way too. I'm hoping for good things out of Vernon as well...looks like he has a solid pair of hands, which is pretty refreshing to see for our receivers.

I think I'm most excited about Tyler Wilson. Kid had first round grades at one point. In general, I can't wait to see how QB plays out...for sentimental reasons, it would be sweet if Pryor developed into a starting NFL QB, so I'm rooting for him, but ultimately, I want us to finally have this position be settled. I think one of these three might be that player for us.
Latavius Murray 6'2' 222lb RB
At Central Florida's pro day, Murray ran the 40-yard dash in 4.40 and 4.38 seconds. He had a 10-foot-4 broad jump and a 36-inch vertical jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.36 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.81 seconds. He also performed 22 lifts of 225 pounds on the bench press.

:D

hmmm....interesting

I'm loving this pick, perfect for when McFadden takes his week 7 break.

doesn't fumble either... :smokin

Flynn has no arm whatsoever

Why the hell would any of us expect him to be a starter? No chance he starts over Pryor unless Pryor is just DOG****
