Before he was pounding him on the ropes he landed a big punch to the back of Thurman's head.  Pretty sure that is what kept Thurman on the ropes that whole time.

And I think Guerrero's punches are taking a cumulative effect on Thurman now, his punches look to be hurting him a lot more.
