We talk about haymon circumventing but you act like DLH and Arum play on a level playing field as well.
Haymon has done more for boxing then both of those clowns to this point

I wouldn't be surprised if this eventually is settled. At least with Haymon we get fights that we want to see rather than having to hear about Oscar doing coke and cross dressing while Arum talks about building outdoor stadiums and meeting with investors out of China.
Not to mention the purpose of the Ali Act was to protect fighters. From all accounts of the fighters working with Haymon they are well compensated and treated fairly.

What fights? LSC and Mares? The whole PBC series for the most part has been terrible.
I mean it's nice and all these guys are getting paid, but an argument can be made that Al's ****** match making has hampered the development of his fighters. Most notably LSC, and Thurman.
Oh, and ask Sean Porter if he's been treated fairly after all that **** they pulled on him in the Broner fight

Porter and Broner was a very intriguing match up on paper. The Mares fight was an excellent fight. The Khan fight was solid. I agree that not every fight has been great but bringing back boxing on network TV is good for the sport. Don't act like Oscar or Bob have been putting on spectacular cards over the years either. The only difference is that they would sell their crappy match ups on PPV or at the very least HBO or Showtime. Notice how both guys are now trying to put fights on regular TV which increases competition which will likely get us better fights.

Quillin/Lee

Algieri/Khan
Garcia/Peterson

my biggest problem wh DLH is when he had haymon and Floyd on is side he didn't have a problem with how haymon went about things and now he does?

LSC fought on the undercard for the biggest fight card in history then fought and overmatched the former titlehold in Mares. Thats his 1st two fights with Haymon
Thurman hampered how so? he won a title then has been mopping up all comers. No one is lining up to fight this dude as he will make easy work of many in his division.

Yup. The only beef you could possibly have with Haymon is some of the matchmaking, but he also put together some solid fights on PBC, plus fights like DSG Matthyse back in the day when nobody thought he'd do it, actually was 100% ready to go to purse bid for Stevenson Kovalev but Duva and them pulled out, etc. But you can't claim your beef with Haymon is about protecting the fighters because his people are well compensated.
I am curious as to why Haymon just doesn't become a promoter and avoid all this bs tho, seems like it would make things easier.

Bute and or Groves could've put Ward over. Unfortunately, Ward was out and Froch took the opportunities. The next best SMW is Degale, but he just signed with Haymon and he's not as big of a name as either of the aforementioned.

What does any of that have to do with their development?
You think LSC going rounds with a TJ construction worker was a good look? He had a nice bounce back win against Abner, but then again Abner has always been overrated and a really isn't a real 126 pounder.
Thurman did not look good against Bundu, Ghost, or Collazo. Ghost's fight against Aaron Martinez only proved that he's BEEN washed. That wasn't an aberration.
Perhaps like DSG, Thurman is who he is, and better matchmaking or even a better trainer along the way wouldn't have changed anything. But his development has clearly stagnated, and he's nowhere near ready for a top welter.

No, I'm not naive enough to believe that DLH and Bob have the best interests of this sport at heart. DLH has always been a huge hypocrite, and I've made my dislike of him in this thread known.
But as of right now they seem like the lesser of the two evils. The vast majority of the PBC series has been trash, and if this is what a monopolization of sport by Haymon will look like, I want nothing to do with it.
I don't care about him squatting on dates or any of the other ****. If the fights were good, I'd be rooting for Al, but they are not.
At the end of the day though, ultimately I hope both sides can come to an agreement, and we can see some fights between the two sides be made.

But both of those fights have gotten him great exposure. Your talking bout developing a fighter isnt thay what most fighters get as they continue to build there brand? It dint matter who he fights he still wont be ready for rigondeaux.
Onetimes development is stagnated bc he has not faced a true champ yet. I still dont get how you put that on al as the blame. Many people don't want this dude

That's a good point, which is why I conceded in my earlier post perhaps Thurman's lack of development is on Thurman.
I also think though that when you get matched up soft though, after a while you start to fight down to your competition. After JSK, he was ready to step it up.
He's bounced back, but I think LSC pre-Mares was an example of stagnated development due to soft matchmaking. He was ready after Terrazas, but he continued to get matched up soft, and I think his fight with Cayetano was the culmination of that.

Let's put Thurman against a top welter who isn't afraid of him and let's see how much he's developed. Injuries are really the only thing that held him back.

And FWIW, I initially was a fan of Al's plan to bring boxing back to free broadcast TV. I would like to see a time where the PPV model is dead, and big fights return to free broadcast TV. It would be for the good of the sport.
But that doesn't seem like it's going to happen though under Al. The PBC seems to be modeling itself after the UFC.

Luis went in there scared of Thurman, and actually found success, then got a horrendous cut.
Had Luis went in there with that same mentality he had after landing that great body shot on Thurman, we might not have Keith Thurman undefeated right now.
