So, yesterday I got a new bathtub faucet installed due to the old one leaking down to my kitchen(Home warranty for the win). So, while they had to get behind the wall to gain access to the leak, they had to cut open my drywall. The Plummer advised that I get an access panel door for the open area they had to cut open to gain access to the faucet. My question is, o did the measurement on the open area and it’s 11 inches horizontal and 12 inches vertical. So, the access panels I’ve seen are reasonable, but how do o determine the right size panel door? He mentioned o should get 24 x 24, but that appears to be too big. Anyone here can help me out? Don’t want to purchase the wrong one. It’s greatly appreciated in advance.
