Why so many respondents from so many agencies if only the one officer/set of officers shot a "suspect"?

Sounds like a huge coverup from the beginning

Any officer involved who fired a weapon should be shot in the back of the head.

That's taking a bit too far

What they need to do is if the cop is without a doubt at fault, trial them for murder or attempted murder like any other civilian.

That brotherhood of police force is strong... Most probably dont even want to be there, or agree with what happened, and now are thrown into a hostile situation because of a scumbag co-worker.. More officers need to man up and have sit outs, walk outs, or just move across the tape and show some solidarity to the people.

Yea because history shows that to be just and effective. **** that. **** our justice system. Fully understand if you find my stance morally wrong but I have no sympathy for the alarming number of racist, murderous, pigs employed by law enforcement agencies all over the country.

Even if buddy was attempting to flee/elude, you don't shoot him.  That's just a moronic, careless decision.  Some of these cowboys need to brush up on the continuum of force.

You also have to understand that many are actually good people as well, being a cop is a job like any other, there are bad and good people in any job and mistakes happen, they are human too...some don't fire their gun their entire career, go to work one day get caught up in a hostile situation and fire their weapon stupidly...someone loses their life, yes they should pay for their mistake, if I make a mistake in my job, consequences follow and that's what seems to be the problem with the police force, the lack of consequences for tee most part, the higher ups much rather sweep things under the rug, then fully admit fault and punishing the officers accordingly.

But to sag everytime a police officer kills someone they deserve a bullet themselves is a bit of a reach.

The badge is a curse tbh, the sense of authority is misused by a lot of officers, they forget their raw job description is to serve and protect and that's the problem.

There are a lot of good men in the force tho...sucks that these situations keep happening, building up the communities aggression towards what are supposed to be our protectors

RIP to the kid n my condolences to the family. 18 years young n already gone, another life wasted. [IMG]

What pisses me off most about this is dude wasn't given his due process. The cop played judge, jury, n executioner. The sad part is the cop will be suspended with  pay, basically a vacation all for killing someone. Then an investigation  will be conducted n either: A) He will be found to have done no wrong; simply doing what he is trained to do. OR  B) Be brought in for some BS manslaughter charges, ask for a change in venue, due to bad press n win his trial; evading jail time n any monetary penalties (It will be paid for by the public; insult to injury). The victim's family will be given a formal apology  n many will try to exploit the situation for their own gain. All the while, this young man's family, most importantly his mother n father, will be left with questions as to how/why this happened. They will be paraded around on news networks for ratings, all the while being used as the flavor of the week in the fight against oppression, injustice, what have you. He will become another statistic n cautionary tale that will be used by the talking heads on TV on how A) Our inner cities are in such turmoil (The same ol' BS no one cares to DO  anything about) OR B) Another example on how minorities should know better than to test the law. It's just another media circus looking to gain on the misfortune of others.

What should be done, in my opinion, is the officer(s) involved in the incident should be fired immediately because A) He is a murderer that should be locked in prison OR B) He is clearly incapable of performing his duties while on the job. Also, the department should be required to pay for any funeral costs, therapy or counseling for witnesses n family, n set up a community outreach program, wherein the department can interact with those living within its jurisdiction so as to not promote mistrust between the two parties, all paid for by the offending officer's pension.

It's BS that this keeps happening time after time n punishment is not doled out. The police need to take responsibility kuz all this covering up only leads to further problems down the road.
