Ok Im sure this has been done 101 time's but has any seen the demand for Jordans go down significantly over the while. I barely see jays on people feetwhere Im around if its not six rings carmines, 17s or fusions. I still see all the packages on shelves but the 6/17 easily where I'm around and more.I'm not even worry about the 11/12 pack will cop if I feel like it thought( never cared much about the 11's or 12's) but Jordans just don't goaround like I used to see. Now its all about the Creative recreations, some ugly boots people are wearing, Posites and Penny's. does any see the same thingwhere they are at.

yea thats how it is around here but aside from me I know people that only bring a pair out maybe once a month or so. they wear beaters all the time and maybewear 13's or 4's or something one day out of the month. Like I know someone who wore the concords all fresh and all but that was for only 1 day thisyear.

a lot of kids at my school mostly wear J's because they think they look cool cuz other "kids" wears em.... but since those "kids"started rockin supras, dunks, and vans everyone is doing it too....

most kids here were vans, creatives or dunks.
there is alot of people wearing fusions, hybrids, and 6rings. also alot of fakes (eg fusion7's)

noboday with real heat from years back. all is 2005 and newer.

drug dealers were the silent trend setters of jordans in the late 80's- mid 90's...once jordans became more affordable for everyone to buy they havekinda lost they're luster....

another big killer were all those team jordans, you just can't slap on a jumpman on everything and not expect to dilute your main flagship models....

From what I've seen, Jordans have ups and downs in popularity. When I started collecting in '97, anyone who was cool had a pair of Air Jordan XIIs. Inthe early 2000s, they weren't that popular, I remember buying the XVIIs for $100 at Footlocker, and a year later I got 5 pairs of black/blue XVIIIs for69.99 each (from $180). They may never reach the levels that they did when MJ was playing, but in my opinion, they've been doing pretty good these pastcouple of years.

The sneaker scene is so over-saturated with diluted creativity ( a "me too" design mentality) that EVERY brand is applying focus to putting out thenext loud, overhyped, gimmick-ridden and limited make-up product. Unfortunately, when every brand is doing it, no brand can stand out. Any brand that does finditself in a popular spotlight can only do so for a very limited amount of time.

In my opinion, after the Jordan XI released... the wheels were set in motion that have ultimately led us to the "Era of Hype" that we are livingtoday. The product development/marketing model that Nike had developed to that point was above and beyond anything anyone else was doing. Every brand wastrying emulate Nike's/Brand Jordan's model in an effort to catch up and fight for a bigger piece of the pie. Brand Jordan has [gradually] made themistake of falling in-line with the tactics of those who were reaching for the bar that they themselves had set. JB now needs to differenciate itself from thepack by going back to the way business was done in the pre-XI era; Innovative design (sans- Frankenstein shoes, DTRT, etc), customer service (classiccolorways, less overpriced "packs" and less "Limited" product) and quality craftsmanship and materials. If JB can "rediscover"itself by returning to a level of prestige, you can bet that they will be regarded as "popular" again.

not a lot of kids wear heat around here... mostly sb's here in washington.

i live in the bay...all i see on people over 30 is JORDAN HEAT, people in their 20's retro heat, and teens got the fusions and junk...but Jordan stillreigns supreme

I see all type of ppl here in the 412 in J's,usually hybrids or team J's , if it aint J's ,then its air maxes and af1's......

Its all where you at ,and /or where you go ,, I see ppl in the hood in J's alot,
but suburbians That I know, be wearing nikes and adidas ,sometimes team J's.......

If its not Six rings or Fusions...Jordans in NYC are looking rare! now that I think about it.

I know where I'm at all I usually see are forces, dunks, and new balances

. When I do see Jordans it's either fusions, 6 Rings, or some fakes and I tend to see more fakes then the other two. Whenever I throw on somethingfrom 2003 or earlier or some heat not too people see dudes always think mines is fake. That's when I respond and say "You got them China specials off52nd for $80 right?" and they usually shut up

. I love calling outdudes who wear fake Jay's and think they real

.

Everyone where i live always is rockin fakes, teams, or fusions. Theres usually like 4 or 5 kids from each school besides me with heat. Sad.

This is caused by 3 main problems.
1. FAKES, now you can have some o.g 4's and no one knows they are special
2. Bad economy
3. J.B garbage coming out

I also think the new generation of kids, since they never saw Jordan play, don't respect it as much as guys like me who are 27.

In my school in NYC there are like 3 people that keep on only wearing jordan heat. There is 1 dude specificaly that one day wears infared 6's,then concord11s, cool grey 11s, og black red 12's, taxis, og raptors and bordeux. Then the rest of the school wear six rings in all colorsways, dunks, pradas andfoamposites or solo flights. Then there are these clowns that have fake 6's with ugly colorways and say they real,og, and one of kind. I just laugh andpoint them out in front of others.

its depends wear u at and what part of town u livin in. The gangsters be rockin them cortez and chucks, some foo that works at finisline had the black and redsix rings, some guys offerd 3 bills for them off his feet!DAMNN!Its the jumpan logo that does it. also they rockin the new !*#$ cuz either the heat is worn outor they dont want to wear them out. where i work, ur guaranteed to get dirty. so i rarely wear my heat. im that person that brings my heat out a couple times ayear only. Ill rotate them though. I wont wear the same pair twice in a row.

fashion trends change, and people now understand there jordans are worthe money and donbt want to wear them
