even if it is for 2 years max playing his %!@ off.. he would be a very good look in chicago... he can play point, pass, create his own shot and hit the 3.. i still want him on the heat though

If there is an amnesty clause and they don't buy this dude out I might have to find a new team.  I can't believe how this organization is sticking behind this guy.  No way should they keep a guy making that kind of money to only play as a 6th man at best.  I don't care what the dude did for the organization at this point, hell I don't even care about his once in 50 game performance in the 4th quarter of game 4 against Dallas, the dude isn't worth it.  At this point I would rather this team bring in some questionable characters and get this team better than bringing in these "good guys" that this city loves that play mediocre.

For those of you not in Portland, this is the stance of your average Blazer fan up here when talking about success:
"I am happy having a team of good guys making it to the playoffs each year, even if they get bumped in the 1st round.  The fact that we have a likeable team and they are getting to the playoffs that is all that matters"

Bunch of %%@$@++ losers up here I tell ya, even the fans are delusional

I feel bad for B.Roy man, he's a pretty cool dude and had so much potential it sucks to see him struggle now and i'm not even a Blazers fan. It's crazy because my mom was at the house watching the draft with me, and she knew nothing about Washington college basketball. And when she heard about his life story she told me he was going to be really good in Portland.

I dont have really any thoughts on this other than i hope Broy will be successful. Met him at summer jam last year and he was a really cool dude just chillin in the pit. Always comes back to seattle and shows love really a stand up guy.

I know exactly what you're saying. I've lived in Seattle all my life. It's a NW mentality, and the reason teams up here just aren't really successful. It's a reflection of the culture those teams are performing for (super liberal, equality-for-everyone, pat-on-the-back mentality). The front offices know the business model works, so they never have to do much more than put out a team that can sort of contend and give the fans something to feel good about. You have to break some hearts along the way. It's why I stopped rooting for Seattle sports teams a long time ago. They never do enough to prove they want to win. It's not about the deals they make, it's about the ones they're afraid to make (and thus never do make) because it'd upset the fans.
