I'm looking for some positive and uplifting music. I am done with music laced with profanity and negativity (most mainstream hip hop & rnb).
I like the beats but the content just doesn't coincide with my values anymore.

So NT, I need your help with some positive music!!! I like soulful beats..

Some recommendations I got so far:

-Maxwell

-India Arie

-Brian McKnight

Same. I agree with the Common & Talib ones too

if you wanna go a different direction, Explosions in the Sky and Angels and Airwaves are some of my favorites

I recently came to the conclusion this was my favorite album released in the past 5 years. It was the 1st time I gave him a chance too...I went backwards on his discography, got hooked on MOTM then D/L'ed his mixtapes.

Glad someone posted some Bob Marley. Spreading some more irie vibes with some more of Jamaica's finest...

I used to listen to this song sometimes if I needed a pick me up. The sheer groove of this song just got positive vibes for me going...

Although this album didn't have HR singing, this song did the same thing for me that Marvin Gaye's Gotta Give It Up did. It got me going. Good work out song too...

This song too. When John Coltrane soars into his solo at the 2.45 mark. Song always got positive vibes going for me...
