There was always a dark side to the Batman and Superman stories from the DC Comics books that were published out.

The Power Rangers franchise is a Japanese creation. However, the English version is very Americanized and re-imagined in itself.

It being at the core an action show with lots of martial arts stunts, but also has a message about working as a team.

Is there enough there, to go deeper into the core values of Power Rangers and write a more dramatized story

The Parental Guidance rating isn't going to be a problem, as the Power Rangers franchise was built on people that are 20-35 years old now. I think that's the group of people that this re-imagined Power Rangers should be targeting

I thought to myself, would I want to see a Power Rangers movie? The answer was no.

I don't think this would be a good idea.

one day, Power Rangers. one day.

I wouldn't want Nolan touching this but a serious approach to this franchise is intriguing. Huge risk though.

You'd have to work years getting the characters both good and bad right if this is gonna be a departure from the kid version.

It's possible...but it would have to be VOLTRON!

Good point, I could see a Voltron movie.

For the the MMPR to work, they wouldn't morph, but would put on something to enhance some crazy super-human ability that they were born with or somethin like that.Villian would have to be either Zed or Ivan Ooze

I could see it....but then again i can see em embrace

Their campy past and doing a fast & furious action

Movie too...

As long as the black ranger isn't some stereotypical *** tap dancin character, I'd be with it.

I guess it is possible. But seeing as the franchise is still going and has about a thousands different sets of rangers, it probably wouldnt work

nolan wouldnt touch this. it would make bank tho bleedat.

i'd be interested in watching a direct to youtube freddie wong type kickstarter funded power rangers movie :hat

I see nothing wrong with high tech ninja agents who represent different colors and keep the piece on them at all times.

Yea, lets have a dark dramatic Christopher Nolan themed Power Ranger flick where a bunch of teenagers in tights are hangin out at there California milk/shake and karate youth center, talking to a huge plastic test-tube, and punching grey guys in the middle of chest to make them disappear.

It'd def work.

Before they do this, they need to finally make a Ninja Turtle kill someone. Everytime I see Leo and Raph fight now I stoneface. They dont actually use their weapons to attack all they do is block with them and then lead with elbows and kicks. Its so annoying.
