Figured it would be fun to see what your network names are and the other networks that you pick up.
I live in a college neighborhood where a lot of Fraternity and Sorority people live.
Can you see our joke?

I will admit the title is a bit sketchy but think through what you are saying.

Besides, everyone can see your network name if they have a wi-fi enabled device so you're not sharing anything that isn't already public.

The next block party I go to I think this is going to be a conversation topic. I bet there are some people who you would never expect to have the network names they do.

What do the cunting ground people look like?
 
Kind of on topic. How do I change the name of my wifi network on Mac?

It's named after the router as a default, but I'd like to change it. Do I have to set up the network again?
 
Most of you guys live in apartments or dorms???


It's tough to pick up wifi networks here with the homes being so big

Go into your router's settings and switch the name.

Depending on router, might have to reconnect whatever device was connected wirelessly
 
One of my neighbors has a funny one. It's in Finnish but translated it would mean i will kill you if you steal my wlan. And it has no password. Guy probably didn't know how to put password so he put that name instead. Real wise guy.
 
Only get two connections.

My connection, Motorola.

and my neighbor's, GoBus.
 
Nothing but older people live on my street, like 60-70+ yr. olds.
I never see any connections except mine and the younger dudes next door to me.
