Its an R8 cause it has the same basic shape as the old R8 but a completely different look to the FRONT END.


Its like the Charger refresh a couple years ago. It still overall looks like a Charger cause we know what a Charger body looks like, but its a completely different look to the front end, and thats mainly due to the headlight shape.

The new headlight shape changed it drastically.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one, it doesn't look completely different to me. It looks pretty much the same, and it looks fine to me.

The one Wednesday was like hey look theres a couple 458s, theres a f430, theres a GTR, theres a murcialago, oh a GT350R nice!  oh look, theres a stanced 240sx with the bumper zip tied on, oh boy theres a stanced/bagged G35 scraping the ground, oh look theres a challenger with flashing neon lights in the grill and his subwoofers blastin, yay. And oh man look at all the wrap jobs! 



sidenote:  Seems like murican car owners are becoming more ricer than anyone. So many new era Challengers/chargers/camaros/mustangs with the most tasteless mods possible

One thing I hate more than anything is mufflers that go Ehhhhhhhhhhh (like a long fart) follow by a loud backfire POP [emoji]128514[/emoji] and the car looks like it maxes out at 50 mph
Plus they be the ones trying to race you at the light

Man just give me a Silver GT-R with some nice rims and tires and I'm cool why tune something that's been tastefully crafted

I didn't say the headlights are the same, they aren't. But for me, overall the headlight change didn't drastically change the front end of the new r8. It's different, sure, but IMO, not by much.

For your G35 vs G37 comparison, the G35 looks much more aggressive to me. I think that's a byproduct of all the changes made between the 2 though, both front and rear, as well as the side, not just the headlights.

And no, I no longer have a G35, that's so last year . I've had 2 vehicles since then that I've posted in here, got a red Lightning currently, I posted it a couple pages ago.

i agree. They look different but not anything too crazy. You make it seem like they made a whole new design I just see it as them building on the previous design. Isn't that what a refresh is though? New lights and grilles
