\\ Post Your Car vol. Been a minute //

So I got hold of these POS on Friday. I started off politely & calm cool & collected manner. But that only lasted so long. I told them straight up your saleswoman Ms. Giovanna told me this is a turn-key condition car & your salesman Mr. Abdullah ghosted me once my wire transfer cleared and I took delivery of the vehicles.

He hits me with oh Giovanna is no longer here she's on summer vacation & it's not high on Abdullah's priority list to respond to a customer regarding a 41 year old car I was like word? He says the stealership sells hundreds of cars a day(🐂 f'ing 💩) and we get so so busy we lose track of things.

He kept making excuses as to why they cannot be held responsible for the issues on the Olds & I told him I have all the texts detailing Giovanna & Abdullah saying the car is in excellent mechanical condition. And he goes oh this is the problem with out-of-state purchases when things go wrong we have a big distance between us and if you were local we'd gladly take a look at the car but you're in NYC.

I'm like yeah so what're we going to do about this you sold me a $10,000 car for $14,000 & he hits me with "why don't you just sell it get rid of it?" I responded sir, I didn't purchase the car to sell it or get rid of it, and he goes well, what do you want? Couple of hundred bucks. I said to him I want a thousand dollars back! You guys duped me. And he goes the owner is not going to refund that amount but I'll see what I can do. He was supposed to call me back later that evening but you already know that didn't happen so I called yesterday and he said we can refund you $500 so I was like aight and we did the docusign formalities on it. F'ing scumbags :smh: !

Sorry to hear about the troubles fam. I was going to say I know you're in NY so I wouldn't be surprised if they have some pretty strong consumer protection laws on the books but at least you got something back. Less than they should have given you cause those are fairly major problems but at least it's something.

Would they repair this stuff if you somehow got the car out to them?

Stating the obvious now, I know but it’s best to always get a pre purchase inspection, that way you have leverage to haggle on the price if they are being tight asses.

Double triple check your state laws on if you can return the car within 30 days after. Along with that if you signed the paperwork along the lines of as is, you might be SOL .

Last but not least a solid review online usually make these hard to find people pop up.

Saw a truckload of Waymo Zeekr in the Coachella area driving towards Arizona. Took me a bit to figure out wtf they actually were.

VERY cool limited edition Exige. apparently One of Three???!?? Functional roof scoop. thing has to be a BLAST of a drivers car.

Yup, that's a Exige Sport 260, which 2011 is the last year of the S2 Exige (though we got the S3 Elise here but only a small amount of cars before the Elise/Exige ended.l). Car is worth A LOT of money (if if were to go on say BaT). 260 HP supercharged 2ZZ Toyota 4. Roof can come off but it's slightly different process then a hardtop on the Elise. It's tiny inside. Extremely small steering wheel, and a tight foot well. Driving shoes are recommended, NOT normal sneakers if you have a foot bigger than say 10/10.5.

My buddy had an Elise and I drove it a few times and it was a blast. And that only had 190 hp and NA. There is a reason Exiges with low miles do crazy money. A go-kart with a licence plate. I will say, pulling up to a light and having a full size SUV like a Yukon next to you and you don't even come close to the bottom of the window on the door, you have to drive both offensively and defensively. Some drivers just won't see you.

The real crime, after these ended production, is that we didn't get the S3 version! 😭😭 THAT car is INSANE! Here's a few pics.

These are all Exige S3 (the gen). Instead of the 2ZZ Toyota 4 with a supercharger, they were using the 2GR-FE Toyota V6 supercharged from the Evora 410 (400 here) and GT430 (GT here). Car is bigger than the old Exige (but still light, see write-ups below) but still insane to drive and very minimalistic inside. The last cars were Exige Cup 430 Final Editions. Extremely rare, track focused Street legal models.

Sport 420s were a little more livable inside and more were made. Visually very similar. But the great thing, a 2014 Exige Sport 350 for example, is plenty and those are reasonable. Sadly can't bring them over till 2039! 😭😭😭😭 Why we didn't match Canada back when at 15 years is beyond me. I could being in a 2014 in less than 3 years. I'd hold off getting my 2nd fun car for one of them. That's how cool these are. Damn it! 😢😢

Some quick info on both the Sport 420 and Cup 430. 👍

If I could bring over a normal S3 Exige 350, THIS is what I would want. Same bulletproof V6 as in the Evora GT, bare bones interior, RHD for the quirky factor, and different. And I'd want Sky Blue as I would trim it out with orange accents on the mirrors, wing end plates (if it has a wing) and edge the splitter and side aero pieces after installing. Instant "Gulf" tribute. And I'd be a VERY HAPPY PERSON! 🙏

I have some minor chips in one of my wheel arches I believe came from a rock. Is this part easy to replace? It’s too deep to buff out and I fear touch up paint will make it stand out more. 2023 SQ5.

Easy to replace, nearly impossible to get the paint to match. I'd definitely have a go at buffing it out - I've seen much worse get much better.

I'll give it a shot with my buffer, I was thinking its a little too deep.

Was stopped at a red light this weekend when all of a sudden a car coming from behind smashed into the car in the lane next to me and one of them ended up hitting my car and damaging the driver side wheel well and bumper. I’m not even sure what car ended up hitting me tbh

First time being involved in a 3 person accident. Me and the other guy that got hit were stationary at a red light so hopefully it all works out insurance wise

It was kinda crazy, I wasn’t really even paying attention or expecting that to happen at all so I actually heard everything before I saw them and didn’t have time to react to move my car out of the way so I got hit too :{

It’s annoying to me because there was like 3 times while I was out that night where if I made another decision I wouldn’t have been there at that time. I was stopping at the supermarket so I wasn’t taking my normal route home.. small things like that

No sale at $65k....in 2018! Yeah, if the mileage is still under 20k or even under $30k, someone will pay over $100k for it EASILY.
I think the guy drives the **** out of it. I see him all the time in it and i'm pretty sure he tracks it alot. Local Lotus club member. those dudes are all about driving which I admire

Dr. ColorChip has really good paint match imo.

You can youtube it. Easy to do.

Need a lot of patience when applying if you want it to be real smooth (apply layer after layer, but gotta wait for it to dry, or I'm not doing it right lol)

Speaking of touch up paint. Took care of a bunch of spots this weekend

I was impressed with the match for touch up paint tbh

All four doors had similar chipping on the lower moldings and edge

Considerably less noticeable from a distance
From where? & They let you paint match?

Finally posting in this thread - my current car is a 2022 Polestar 2 Long Range Dual Motor with the Plus and Pilot packs. Getting this certified pre-owned was absolutely the way to go.

It's tons of fun to drive and, after driving EVs since 2023, I still don't miss paying for gas lol.

Thank you bro 👍. Yeah, he was saying something about how in the State of Illinois they aren't required to disclose that information blah blah blah. Yeah something is better than nothing. I had to hit him with the "I'm from NY don't F with me" line  . The check for $500 should be delivered through FedEx later on today evening.

So 1st he says why don't you just get rid of the car? And I was like I didn't buy it to get rid of it, sir. I bought it to drive & enjoy it. He then says ship it back to us. If I do that it would cost me $1,600 roughly & I told him I don't trust you people with my car. What if they tampered with it further after our phone call y'know what I mean.

I defiintely should've done the PPI 💯 or at least have flown my *** out to check the cars. I'm the type that once my ❤️ settles on something I have to HAVE IT! Lol I saw the listing on the car, got some info from them on it, haggled the price & ran with it. I'm the type of customer dealerships love

It's all good I ain't returning the Delta. She's too pretty to give back. It'll be up & running in no time good as new. My co-worker saw it parked up in the garage and was like it looks like it just rolled off the production line. It's in fantastic cosmetic condition inside & out. Not a stain, rip or tear on the seats or carpeting. It just needs some TLC on those mostly minor issues and she'll be good to go.

And yeah, the AS IS was some of the first docs they emailed over to me...no way around it for we the customer. All good though, at least I got $500 back from them. I will be leaving semi-decent reviews for them. 2 outta 5 stars 🤣
