I used to have gloss black rims on my Jeep. Had my body shop strip em and dip them to look like polished aluminum. Cant tell they were black!

I've done a few sets.
Having a glass bead blaster and paint booth make it easier but it's easy to do at home, just more time consuming
Get some sandpaper, bondo or any type of filler of your choice, paint and primer and go to town
