...and it's a lot of people, too huh? Most people?

It's a spectator sport, if people aren't watching it's donzo. Besides, greedy Mfers take all the excitement out of it wanting fighters to go 12 rounds.

Knock outs in mma > technical boxing matches

Watching the Miami Heat > watching the San Antonio Spurs(unless you're a Spurs fan or a die hard Lebron hater)
What the hell sport wouldn't die if nobody watched ?what sport isn't a spectator sport? Lol

Jordan's are not the only shoes out there..
New Balances are more comfortable and in a lot of cases better looking and less expensive..
NB>Jordan
Branch out
There are some dope looking NBs, but that big hideous "N" logo has held me back from ever picking up a pair.

Naw bro... You just said some stupid stuff...

Mma fighters ain't playing...

And will **** you up way quicker than a boxer or wrestler...

I don't even like mma and I know the deal.

Again... Some of these are cool...

Some of these are just ridiculous.

Chuck Lidell would get his *** beat by someone like Roy Jones Jr.
chuck takes down roy.

roy is on his back.

roy is dead meat.

how can you even argue that? boxers don't sprawl. he would go down with the quickness.

Ah...real live...you about that life...I can get us some gloves...I mean we can go MMA gloves but I'm sure me and you would both prefer the boxing ones...
I think you would prefer to post gifs on the internet rather than have any actual confrontation.

Multiple boxers have got into the ring...multiple boxers have gotten beaten.

It's two different fighting styles. For example, in Boxing you leave your lead leg out that in order to draw power from your hips...you do that in MMA, you get that leg taken and boom you're on your back...taking multiple elbows to the face...In wrestling, they don't throw hands so they often leave their jaw exposed and their hands down. IN Mauy Thai...well a good Muay Thai fighter is generally prepared for a MMA fight...they clinch and throw elbows and knees, their takedown defense is pretty good, but if they do go to the ground anyone kind of skilled in BJJ will take them to the cleaners...

None of this matters in a street fight, I mean some boxing skill will help but I've seen many an MMA fighter get rocked in a street fight.

OH...and I think you dodged the question...like I said, I live on 3708 Warwick blvd...holla at me...

In a boxing match. Chuck is a striker, correct? He could never hang with someone who actually knows to box. Which brings me to my point. MMA fighters couldn't make it int he actual sport they "train" in. Not talking mélange of 8 different disciplines where they roll around on the ground for three rounds.

you never specified in a boxing match. ok sure.

also, not all martial arts are "sports" bruh. so mma is not a mashup of several different sports. you sound like your equating mma to a sport combining football and baseball.

I'll say this..I have a strict definition for sport, the definition you find on the interwebz is way to broad...it can easily include things like Chess and video games...not that there is anything wrong with them, I love playing chess and video games make a lot of money but I wouldn't classify them as sports...IDK why it's so important to be a "sport" just do whatever you do not everyone needs to play a sport...and you don't have to play a sport to be an athlete

Sport - two or more teams competing on the field of play at the sametime, competing over the same object, trying to get that object in their respective scoring areas...

to include

Football, basketball, soccer, tennis, hockey...a few more

Competitions - two or more people competing for points or for positions which can be ended by one person achieving whatever is the goal of the competiton (etc. knocking someone out, trapping an opponents king etc.)

Competition - Damn near everything else

So to me MMA is not a "sport" but that doesn't mean it doesn't get my respect, I know a lot of dudes that fight MMA, thought about getting a fight myself...

A boxer would beat an MMA fighter in a boxing match? O lord! What's next?!? NBA players being NFL players in a........ Basketball game?!?

Of course lol

Actually I did. I know not all martial arts are sports. Never said they were. I also never called MMA a sport. I said the opposite. I said a mélange of disciplines, which it is. Most fighters train in one of the  three actual sports I mentioned and like I said they could never make it in that actual sport.

MMA and boxing guys have the same level of endurance, but more skills in their arsenal. I'm sorry but all things being equal, MMA has the edge.

it comes down to the amount of tools each fighter has. a skilled mma fighter knows how to use everything. a boxer has less weapons in the arsenal. its that simple. obviously certain fighters are stronger in varying areas but overall an mma fighter has more options. in a fight the mma fighter will always have the edge.

now in a boxing match the result is different.

but a boxer vs anyone with decent wrestling and heavy hands? cmon fam.

Wrestling dropped from 2020 Games

http://espn.go.com/olympics/wrestling/story/_/id/8939185/ioc-drops-wrestling-2020-olympics

The board voted after reviewing a report by the IOC program commission that analyzed 39 criteria, including TV ratings, ticket sales, anti-doping policy and global participation and popularity. With no official rankings or recommendations contained in the report, the final decision by the 15-member board was also subject to political, emotional and sentimental factors.

"This is a process of renewing and renovating the program for the Olympics," IOC spokesman Mark Adams said. "In the view of the executive board, this was the best program for the Olympic Games in 2020. It's not a case of what's wrong with wrestling; it is what's right with the 25 core sports."

According to IOC documents obtained by the AP, wrestling ranked "low" in several of the technical criteria, including popularity with the public at the London Games -- just below 5 on a scale of 10. Wrestling sold 113,851 tickets in London out of 116,854 available.

Wrestling also ranked "low" in global TV audience with a maximum of 58.5 million viewers and an average of 23 million, the documents show. Internet hits and press coverage were also ranked as low.
