Anyone ever gave any thought about prepping for a natural or manmade disasters?

I was thinking about just stocking up on items such as water, canned foods, guns and ammunition. My wife thinks im crazy but i just want to be prepared for any type of civil unrest.

Anyone else ever gave any thought to this?

do it breh, by the way it's looking now with all these unconstitutional gun laws being proposed their bound to be passed and when the people have had enough, **** will get real for everyone. Better safe than sorry.

Yup I think about it a lot, but I haven't made too many strides towards it. For some reason, I feel like I will really kick up these sort of presentations when I own my own home and/or have my own family.

I think about it. But I don't see mass civil unrest happening anytime soon. The government wouldn't allow it. We're in too deep.

Glad to know im not the only one. Im not thinking crazy like mass civil unrest but with milk expected to be in shortages, there is no telling what else is coming. I just dont want to be that guy going ham looking for water or food if ishh got real

I've been buying up guns and ammo for the past several years.

I've scouted the immediate/surrounding neighborhoods for houses that will be overtaken by me to bunker down in if said events ever happen.

Would you guys be upset if nothing ever happened? Like if all your prepping and skills were never put to use? Tonight's episode of the Simpsons was about this subject. :lol

Lol i made this thread watching that episode, made me start rethinking about it. My wife is the one who keeps telling me nothing will happen and i just keep thinking i would rather prepare and nothing happen rather than not prepare and find myself SOL

Nope, not at all. I haven't gone to the extreme like people on doomsday preppers or anything like that. All I've done is buy guns ( which I would have anyways) so in the end I just have a bunch of toys.

Is this iBlink? or someone trollin??? 8o

Nah no one's trolling. I had to make a new sn. Crazy exes and what not. :lol

I thought I was clever with the name. Never saw that clip. :{

lol the clip is from Mel Brooks movie "Robin Hood Men in Tights" If you haven't seen it I def recommend checking it out.

Its a hilarious flic with a mismatched oddball cast (Dave Chappelle, Cary Elwes, Richard lewis, Patrick Stewart) that seems like it would never work on paper but still somehow came out great. :smokin

nope. to me its like insurance. when SHTF and society is crumbling at an accelerated rate, i would want to have these on hand than to wait for help. look at the people complaining and crying about what happened to them during sandy and fighting over gas. better to be a year early than a day late imo.

i was just talking to my girl about this last week or so..

living in cali and on the san andreas fault...we are always thinking about that damn earthquake..

we've got flashlights extra batteries and bottled water so far..

we are also going to try to get handgun permits..we both have clean criminal records.

Sounds like you've been watching doomsday preppers on national geographic. Those people are no joke. If you haven't seen it look them up on youtube.

watched the simpsons episode. :rollin at ben bernanke for the possible collapse

kinda scary now that they would have an episode that warns the viewer of a possible collapse in three months. which is another debt ceiling+fiscal cliff problem where tapping into the pensions for continued spending will be exhausted. damn you ben bernanke and timothy geithner!
