Problem with USB Condensor Mics

I just copped this Samson-C01UCW
 

mic is dope but I don't know if it's my DAW (Acid Pro 7.0) or the relay w/ the mic being usb. When recording, my voice sounds behind what I'm actually sayin throwin me off since it's not in sync. Anybody else have this problems with their USB mics and know of a way to fix this problem? I'm tryna get this mixtape done but can't do it when the relay is behind. Good looks folks

change the buffer rate in ur program... thats not just for usb mics...

That worked a lil bit but it aint even in my program. I can still notice it when I'm just testin it when I'm speakin into it w/o recordin. Mad weird, and it's plugged in directly to my laptop

Price and I read some really good reviews on em, the one I purchased specifically. Not to mention the ease w/ it. Not only would I spend more money on a reg condenser mic, but I would also have to buy an external audio source w/ phantom power to power it.

You can get a nice set up for under $300.

Hopefully the computer will have enough power to push the condenser mic to its potential. If you're going the USB route why not get a Dynamic mic?

Funny thing is, I had one to start out w/. It was an Audio Technica dip that I got from BestBuy a few years back. It was coo but I felt that it wasn't doin the job I wanted and Wes confirmed my beliefs when he said it sounded like I needed a new one.

I need to figure this out or I'll just have to return it or resell it. I only paid $50 for it so it's not like I'd take a heavy hit for it

I know what you mean, I have the same microphone and it happens to me sometimes too. I'd just restart the computer and see if it works; after I did that my mic worked fine.

Damn, How much RAM do I need to run this damn thing?

I got 3GB and I kno I aint usin all of it. Next time I get a chance I'm gon restart my computer before I record. I didn't even think about that when I tryna figure out what was goin on. Good looks for the suggestion

Aight no doubt. I still don't know why I aint think of that in the first. Guess I was pressin for time before my girl and daughter came home to bug me.
