I only take protein shakes after my workouts. I was wondering do you get better results if you drink protein in the morning and then after you workout. How often should i take it in a day?

Yeah, Several diff types of protein, In the A.M I Take O.N Oats & Whey, Lunch, O.N's Whey Protein After My Workout O.N's HyroBuilder Protein, and before bed O.N's Casein Protein And as well sometimes O.N's Pro Complex. I'm bulking this month.

But Seriously, You Have To Constantly have protein, But If Unable To I Buy Nuts, Take Tuna To Work Or Protein Bars, every 2-3 I try to nibble On them.

O.N Leads The Gym Scene With Supplements

In conclusion, Yes, The harder your workouts and more you drink/eat protein, The greater results. Stick To It Man.

2-3 times a day.

OP if you got the $, O.N's Products are a way to go. I Pay A good amount every month or so for a new supply.

But I've gotten the best results, First Time Using Casein, I don't see any problem, at the end of the day man, everyone has their 'ROUTINE' and their beliefs on supplements, to each their own. You'll find your thing. Just eat right and drink protein at the crucial parts of the day.

I'm 6'5, 217, I want to be 230. I'm always on the go, I can barely sit down and eat. So I have to have that routine. Like I Said, Goodluck man. Don't be bashful on asking when or what to take, everyone here has gone through trial and error, and could easily point you in the right path.

ill check the O.N products. Right now i take gold standard whey and it works great.

Wait gold standard whey is a ON product??

OP your best to concentrate on your overall daily diet from morning till bedtime than you are worrying about taking protein supplements all day. Products like whey powder are SUPPLEMENTS. They supplement your diet. And they cost money. They do not need to be taken a ton. After workouts is great.

I see too many young lifters think whey and other products are a huge deal and then they completely disregard the more important factor with getting results and that is your daily food and drink diet. Really concentrate on that.

Good to see there is some sense in this thread.

A lot of people take way too much protein - you need enough - any more is just a waste and you'll just be flushing it away. A good diet will get you what you need. Save your money on supplements.

What's been in the last few posts pretty much sums it up.

A majority of your protein should be from your regular diet. The protein supplement is secondary. If its the other way around, you're kind of climbing an uphill battle. But hey, everyone is different. Also, depending on your goals, stick to 1, 1.5 or 2 grams of protein per pound of body weight. Anything more than that will possibly be wasted.

Side note, depending on your diet and how much protein you're taking in, you may also want to consider fiber supplementation. :D

Optimum Nutrition is probably one of the cleanest brands out there. I'd just stick to gold standard like you have and avoid all the fancy hydrowhey and other fancy gadgets, etc... Save the dough and put it to real food if you can help it.
