I'm glad this thread is picking up some steam.
Buggz I feel there's alot of truth to your link especially the last 2 paragraphs. It's a roundabout way we go about getting "enlightened" atleast from my perspective. We read, and we explore and we feel like we're starting to get "enlightened" only to find out that we're not there yet and sometimes we find that we were more enlightened before we started looking for it, but going back to this phase we atleast have a deeper understanding and appreciation for it.
Patience is the essential quality of a man - Kwai-Koo-Tsu
Flow with whatever may happen and let your mind be free:
Stay centered by accepting whatever you are doing. - Chuang-Tzu
Softness triumphs over hardness,
feebleness over strength.
What is more malleable is always superior over that which is immovable.
This is the principle of controlling things by going along with them,
of mastery through adaptation. - Lao-Tzu
Control your emotions or it will control you - ancient proverb
A Zen master out for a walk with one of his students pointed out a fox chasing a rabbit.
"According to an ancient fable, the rabbit will get away from the fox," the master said.
"Not so," replied the student. "The fox is faster."
"But the rabbit will elude him," insisted the master.
"Why are you so certain?" asked the student.
"Because the fox is running for his dinner and the rabbit is running for his life," answered the master.
