PS3 Problem

I tried putting someting like this in the official thread and got ignored so please bear with me

A little while ago I copped the PS3 Slim, a Sanyo 26 inch 720p/1080i Hd and a Panasonic HDMI chord
For the most part everything looks good but there are some noticeable graphical issues.

1 is that during certain game's cutscenes (Assassin's Creed's intro for example) there is a bit of fuzziness, something like what you would find ona youtube vid thats not in HD/HQ
Another issue is jaggies along the edges of certain objects in games, not all but some
In practically all my games shadows appear with blocky edges rather than being smooth and resembling the shape of the shadow's caster
And lastly color banding, ths one is not too bad but it's noticeable especially in certain games (NBA 2k9's Red background is

)

Is there anything I can do to fix these things?
I've tried TV settings and Console settings and the problems are still there.
Is it the TV, the PS3 or the chord?

Tried that but it didnt really do anything
Are there optimal setting for the PS3 that work better on certain TVs than others?

go into display settings on your ps3 and set it to the highest resolution campatible with your tv. Start with setting it to 720p and if it seems to look bettertry 1080i. This is the only thing i can think of, i hope this helps.

try your ps3 on a diff tv to issolate the problem. if it does it on the other tv try using a diff hdmi cable or use the component cable that comes with theps3. Isolate ya digg?

wire might be bad? is it only happening too those two games? Does it happen when u watch movies? Might be a bad wire ...

order a new wire from monoprices ....

what cables do you have your ps3 connected to the tv with. If you only use the composite cables that came in the box you will never get 1080i you have to useComponent cables or if your tv supports it use HDMI cables.

Besides adjusting you system settings, I would suggest changing the cords. Some manufacturers tailor their products to work better with their own brand. I knowDell is offering Sony 32" LCDs for like $600 now. Get your cord from s-video.com.

Easier said then done.
I wanted to pay as much or less for a PS3 as I did a TV.
Considering that I'm a college student and just wanted something for the dorm.
The TV was marked down so I copped on impulse.
I'd try it on another TV but that's gonna be a bit of a problem.
I'll try some of the tips in here and see what happens.
