Question about HBO's OZ

I'm almost finished The Wire and i've been thinking about watching OZ
I want to know if the man rape is so over bearing that it would ruin my viewing experience.

bodie,daniels,carver- the wire

The mayhem guy was on there

The farmer's guy was the nazi leader
