Question about Jordan B Grades

My friend and I were talking about Jordans and the subject of B grades came up. I know that some of them you cant even tell have a "cosmeticimperfection" and sometimes dont even have one. What I was wondering is when did JB start releasing B grade shoes? I've never seen any of the olderOG's have B grades but only retros. Anyone know?

back in the day they were no B grades. it all started when outlets became a way for manufacturers to sell stuff that didn't pass inspection. its actually agenius marketing move. sell stuff that isn't perfect to people at discounted prices. before outlets the companies like nike, polo, etc... either got rid ofthe stuff that didn't pass inspection or donated it to charity. B grade type products also went to stores like ROSS and Marshalls before outlets popped up
