Question about NDC on release days

This may be a dumb question but here it goes anyway.

I was wanting the Motorboat Jones when they did the re-release on NDC.  I get up early and log on but never see them on the site.

I get on twitter a few minutes after they release and see the link.  Of course when I click on it there sold out.

My question is ---- do you have to use the twitter link to get there or should they have shown up on there site?

Some releases on ndc are TLO meaning you can only get access to them via the twitter link
For the motorboats, since it was a restock, it wasn't TLO so you could have searched for them on the website

I'm wondering how I still manage to miss out on certain drops (bred 11's) , even though i was faithfully on twitter clicking refresh, immediately hit the link and STILL missed out. >:

It is no secret method. Pray for the best, hope you are lucky...and a super fast internet service and pc/tablet/phone. That is it. Also, as mentioned, some releases are by twiiter feed only
