question about slippery courts

so i had a game today at a local rec league and everyone was slipping all over the court even though we mopped the court about 5 times before the game.  This did not occur last week.  anyone with an explanation.  Maybe from the cold? its like 20 degrees here.

lol nah it wasnt a wet mop. just a dry mop to mop up dust and stuff. I slipped twice during layup lines.

the gym me and my friends play at is like that too...rolled my ankle on it. i think it's just that the court is a little dusty and old...if it matters this is in cali where the weather isn't that cold.
