Question about working out, protein and eatting

i usuallly work out around 8am mon-fri. im tryng 2 gain muscle (cardo 30 mins. weights 30+ mins)
i jus got sum protein shakes. it says take 4 times a day
wuts the best time for me 2 take protein and have meals ???

4 times a day is OD, you should have 1 a day if that, most are garbage. Try eating more real foods

that^^^^^
if your tryin to gain muscle you need to eat more to create a slight caloric surplus with real protein rich foods.
the supplement companies just want your money

Can not tell if you are serious?

I will help you out of the kindness of my heart. Meal timing is not very important as long as you are getting something in your stomach after you workout. A caloric surplus is what you need in order to gain muscle. Lay off the protein shakes/drinks, they are meant to supplement your daily caloric intake not be your daily caloric intake.

Move this to the Get Back In Shape Thread though.

I have a similar workout routine.

I usually have one shake post workout, and try to eat 3 good meals + 2 healthy snacks on a daily basis.

If I miss a meal, or feel particularly sore from that days workout, I'll have a shake before I go to sleep.

My day's go like this

8AM- Workout
9AM- Shake
9:30- Breakfast (eggs, turkey bacon)
11- Snack (almonds, fruit, pb&j)
1- Lunch (chicken/turkey hot dogs, sandwiches on wheat bread, etc.)
3- Snack 2
6- Dinner (Turkey, Chicken, brown rice, veggies)
Late- Dessert (ice cream, cookies, candy)
