quick nba uniform questions

First just wondering is there a rule in which every nba player has to wear nba socks?  I never see Lebron Kobe and these guys wearing their custom socks.  Next when is adidas contract done with the nba just curious?

I believe the players can wear any socks they please just as long as they don't show any logos.

The Adidas deal runs through 2017.
