Quick PS3 question!

So I'm playing Madden and it says it supports 1080p but for some reason keeps showing up in 720. My tv supports 1080p and I have an HDMI cable. When Iwatch blu-rays it comes up as 1080p but not when I'm playing video games. Anyone know what the problem is?

on the back of madden it says 1080p

for some reason my xbox 360 looks better than my ps3 .. both have hdmi wires and are played on the same lcd.

that's what im saying...it looks really choppy on my 40inch samsung. then my buddy is playin his on a 360 on a digital lifestyles tv and itlooks amazing

your right...just checked mines and it said 720p also and i have a 1080p w/ hdmi cables

Got it! Go to your display settings and uncheck everything but 1080p and that will force the game to run in that. Remember to switch it when you play adifferent game though because unless it supports it, the game will run in 480
