I thought her and Deborah Cox would have bigger careers. They had the combination of looks and the ability to sing.

I wasn't sure at the time, because Tamia was backed by Quincy and Deborah was backed by Clive Davis.

I think the change in music probably had a lot to do with it, their style didn't fit their age group, because in the mid 90's R&B became more hip hop infused.
