RAIDER NATION Season THREAD:

No QB busts onto the scene after four games

Fixed.

There's nothing to be drawn from Sprano's comments. Carr could have a 90 QBR and the message would be the same, "elevate your game."

That's the nature of the profession and as a QB if your team isn't winning you answer to that. Carr's a big boy he knows that.

^ Probable so might get a few carries. Not all on MJD either holes have been few and far between. We need to step it up on the run blocking

All things considered, Carr is playing with the cards he's been dealt. With no clear cut WR/TE to catch passes and no decent run game going behind him because we have no line to open up some holes, what more can you expect from the kid? He's been doing everything he can. I seriously doubt Peyton Manning himself can play with this squad right here.

@originalEMurphy: ?? of the day-Which Matt gets the scratch?” >> looks like #Raiders are phasing out Schaub

I understood the Raiders giving him time with his premature child but this guy has disappeared.

There's a place on the team for Schaub, that place entails holding a clipboard.

We're not stuck with him right, his salary next year is negotiable?

Wouldn't have any problem with him sticking around to tutor Carr and McGloin on the cheap, just please lord don't let him step on the field.

i believe it is negotiable, I don't want Shaub even holding a clip board lol, get his *** out of here!

Man I'm one of those dudes who believes it's crucial to have a vet QB on the squad to help mentor the young guys.  He might not be able to show by doing anymore and I get how easy it is to **** on the man, but Schaub was a successful QB in this league for years. We're fooling our selves if we think he has zero insight to offer an up and coming QB.

Yeah if anything, keep Schaub as 3rd string if they don't want to play him at all and let him teach Derek things. A mentor presence can work wonders for a young guy coming in.

i see what you guys mean. But **** Shaub

Adam Schefter ‏Inside Scoop on LB Nick Roach- problems with his vision and balance

Raiders LB Nick Roach, who suffered a significant concussion in Oakland’s 3rd preseason game and hasn’t played since, is expected to be able to resume his career next season, according to a source. Roach has experienced problems with his vision and balance, according to a source, and has spent recent weeks visiting concussion specialists in Los Angeles, London and Pittsburgh. Those specialists were in agreement that Roach – who led the Raiders in tackles last season with 152, could have been cleared to play later this season, and he should be able to play next season without any limitations or long-term consequences, per a source. For now, Roach is working to rehab his vision and balance. But with Oakland short at linebacker now and the team wanting to give Roach the time he needed to recover, the Raiders placed him on injured reserve last week, quietly ending the season for the player who last year led Oakland with 5.5 sacks.
