It seems like the Lakers are the most hated/loved nba sports team on this site. Lakers are usually always top 3... How come the warriors "official" thread is 500 plus pages deep and the 2nd most is lakers with only 200?

Because Laker fans make game threads .003 seconds after the last game ended and those then go 50 pages each.

i always wondered why the warriors thread was so big. Can we get a hawks thread though?

The length of the thread doesn't really have to with "love" and "hate". It's about the individual members. The warriors thread is full of back and forth (usually friendly) conversations between the (many) members and so it gets to extreme lengths. It's like a group chat, basically. Plus the members are simply active in supporting their team or expressing their disappointment.... doesn't necessarily correlate with how loved or hated the team is... it's just the community itself.

it's because that thread is made up of a bunch of bay area free posters.
they don't even talk about bball some of the times. they talk about stuff like what they had for lunch.

It's not really mind boggling. The game threads take up more discussion which results in a smaller season thread. Plus the Warriors season thread is regular conversation/chat plus constant double/triple posting.. in an obvious attempt to be longer than the Knicks thread
And OP, the 2nd most is the Knicks, at over 500 pages, not the Lakers.

Because there are far more "True" Warriors fans on NT, than there are Lakers fans.
There are thousands of Kobe fans on NT, who don't have much to contribute about the Lakers in general, that's just my honest opinion.
