RCN quality?

Hello NT Fam. Any of you guys currently have RCN internet? They are offering up to 50mbps with modem included @$34.99. http://www.rcn.com/new-york/high-speed-internet/services-and-pricing

Does their internet service get up to those speeds or are they bluffing? I have Verizon Fios double play with internet speeds of 50/15 which is stupid fast for what I do along with a couple premium channels. I'm paying $115 taxes included.

Just had a newborn and I'm trying to cut down on bills. I could live without cable but not without internet. Anyone out there could give me some feedback? Thanks!

it's cheap enough and reliable but you're better off getting comcast, verizon, or time warner. You get more access to online streaming for sports and other live events. (eg. no espn 3 nfl and nba on RCN)

Thanks for the reply. I already have Fios bro and I'm loving it. Like I said, I'm trying to cut down on my bill though. Just want to know if they are reliable enough and if they honer their speed quotes.
