Really need help here.

Hey NT. i need some help on obtaining a passort

My grandma recently died yesterday and Me and my family are planning to go to mexico for her funeral, however my 2 little brothers are 6 and 11 dont have theirpassports.

We went to the post office and they said it takes 4-10 weeks to obtain a passport. thats clearly too much time to wait.

is there anyway we could get their passports in one day?

i tried googling and it said i had to go to the passport agency and go through an interview.. and if i travel in the next 14 days i can get it the same day byshowing my plane ticket

Can someone help me? has anyone ever obtained their passport in one day?

I don't know about one day, but I think there is a fee you can pay to get them sooner. My Mom's friend needed them for a trip and she was told of a fee

Yes.

There is a fee you can pay to expedite the process.. but I do not know about 1 day..

uhh in downtown detroit we went to get my sister her passport in a day when they needed to fly out to Panama.....it was like $60 on top of everything else.

did you have to show proof that you were going to leave in the next 14 days?

because i checked the passport agency in NY and it said they will give it to us in a day if our situation (death) can be proven. one of the options is showingthat u already purchased the plane ticket. this is mad confusing

From what I was told children under 16 don't need passports. All you need is a birth certifacate.

what happened is they were suppose to fly out the 29th of may, but didnt realize that was expired, soo they went to that building, got my sister a newpassport, and flew out the next morning......im not sure about showing proof or not.
