Recommend me an External Hard Drive

the 4gb cap is only for single files ... so if you have a folder of like the beatles discography which is like 4.2gb you can still put it on there... if you plan on using it with certain devices like a ps3 etc... you would need to keep it as fat32 so decide that way ...

what i did with my 3 1tb wd drives is as soon as i plugged them up i deleted everything that comes stock in them and then went to device manager on my cpu andright clicked to reformat to NTFS ... it takes a while but its well worth it cuz you dont have to worry about having too big a file ...

How long did you have it?
How often did you use it?

Hope that doesn't happen to mine have movies, music, and documents. That I don't have on my laptop.

Westy or a Seagate. I have one of each and love them. External hard drives have failure rates, there are no guarantees but those are the best brands.
