Recommend me an ultrabook

Anyone got one? Family member wants one. Macbook Air is out of the question. Been trying to do some research on which brand is the best and which to stay away from. Seems like Acer, Toshiba, Asus, and Samsung are the most common. It will prolly depend on the specs, but whats a good price range I should stay in?

i was gonna cop a macbook air and the dude at the apple store was straight up like these are a rip off spend less and get a pro. after hearing his reasons i now agree macbook air is not worth it
