I signed up for a 5K today and it's on Saturday, so I need to cop some shoes. I refuse to go out there and run/walk in some basketball shoes. Can someone recommend me some good cross trainer/running shoes?

I need them to be:

(1) inexpensive ($50-75)
(2) stylish (I wear a size 13)
(3) name brand (preferably Nike)

Those look dope. I guess I should be leaning more towards cross trainers though. I'm not a "run to stay in shape" type of dude, lifting weights and hooping keep me in shape.

You left off the most important characteristic....COMFORT.

Sometimes, you gotta compromise style for comfort....ESPECIALLY when running.  IMO, you should head down to your local running store and get fitted to the exact specifications of your foot.  There are plenty of options out there.

True, that's paramount. But, like I said in the original post, I don't have a lot of money to get a shoe for the exact specifications and all that other stuff. After this 5K I doubt I'll do any running like that for a while, so I'd rather go for a cross trainer, because I want something comfortable to lift weights in too.
