Theyre a Huge improvement over last years ZigSlash, The Zig slash lacked Court grip and lateral stability which the Encores make up for with herringbone, The shoe weighs about the same as last years but has much more padding around the ankle. The zig encore definetly impressed me, Although if your more used to Nikes zoom technology in there basketball line it will take adjustment from shoe to shoe.

i with agree with the statement of it sitting a lot lower, more stable, and better traction.

Definitely a big improvement from the first ones. 100000 x better traction, lower to the ground (better court feel), fit (true to size btw) and ample cushioning.

The 1st one, I could barely get my feet in the shoes.
