Has anyone ever bought a refurbished product (game system)?

If so what are the pros and cons?

Yes i bought a refurbished xbox and ipod. It's way better than buying stuff used . If it's refurbished it means it had a problem but was fixed. Pros:condition of product is new and item costs less cons: There really isn't any.

I bought a refurbished 360 and got the red rings a month later.

Not much con to the refurbished product if you get some type of warranty, because it's up to chance why the product that you got was refurbished. You couldhave gotten one that was just opened and then returned or you could have purchased one that was broken and repaired. So you might run the risk of having it fora short while and it start to malfunction, or it could be perfectly fine without any problems.

Refurbs are great depending on the company.

Apple and Sony or usually great.

I have had refurb Laptops from Apple (My current 17 in MBP is a refurb from september)

Yes some products are returned due to defects but I deem alot of it people who return it for not knowing what they are doing with the piece of equipment

Just make sure to buy it through the company to have the warranty that comes with just in case within the 90 days (usual warrant for refurbs) something does gowrong.

sonicelectronix Is the place and they said they have a free 1 year warranty. I'm just weighing my options now. Because I can get a new one for100 or little more cheaper and not to mention blackfriday is around the corner. I would probably barely use the system so I guess I can just sit back andwait.
