Reinstalling Windows?

Hello, NT.

I want to reinstall a new copy of Windows on my laptop.

The problem is my IBM Thinkpad laptop did not come with a restoration CD.

I'm guessing it's in a hidden folder on my computer, but I can't find it.

Any ideas?

as for your problem, I don't think any laptop/pc comes with their OEM windows CD unless you're building it. Good luck with your trouble.

If you have a new copy of windows you WONT need your old restoration disc ...restoration disc are for pre-loaded OS's with recovery discs.

I bought a laptop with Vista and bundle software that was causing major conflicts, so I bought 7 and the recovery discs were no good

unless you made a recovery disk right after you bought the computer, you're pretty much SOL.  You'll likely have to buy windows or find someone who has a spare disk and use the windows key on the bottom of your laptop to reinstall it.
