Relationship posts...

I am 35 and by no means believe I know everything...I am sure there are people more wise than me out there.

It is my opinion that most of the relationship posts on this board are from cats that are way too critical of their relationships and take them way tooseriously.

If you are in college, and you want to know if you over reacted to some slight in your relationship, you probably over reacted.

If you want to get mad over something trivial, then you don't like this person as much as you think you do. You are probably getting sex on the regular. All I can say is that once I met my wife, I treated her like I treated myself. The girls before didn't stand a chance.

End rant. I don't have a blog. I ain't getting one.

Totally agree with the OP.
It's inexperience and insecurity most of the time, which leads people to make abrupt decisions or create scenarios in their small minds.

The younger we are, the more we try to have what we believe at that time is "perfection" in our relationships and the people they are with.
Funny thing is, that is constantly changing as we go through life.
With youth comes more of a concern for what people think and public opinion. As we get older, that kind of disintegrates and we just don't give a !&*%what people think.
Also as we get older, we develop a true understanding of ourselves and are able to process and deal with the same situations stressed in NT threads in afraction of the time.

We live and learn. And alot of the relationship "issues" brought up here are from people who are still learning.
Perfect Example: We play footsy under the table in elementary school and call that a "relationship". The way you feel thinking about that, is thesame way I felt reading that kids "promise ring" thread.
