It came against the run-and-gun 1991 Denver Nuggets, coached by Paul Westhead, that literally did not play defense. If the late 2000s Suns were considered SSOL, the 1990-91 Nuggets were FSOL (the F can stand for four or five, doesn't matter). They gave up more points than any team in NBA history. They lost that game 155-116 in regulation. Skiles had 22 points to go along with those 30 assists, meaning he was responsible for at least 82 points. It was a farce.
Similar to Wilt's records from the early '60s, there is no confluence of events that could allow it to happen again.

Agreed. I’ve never seen a more talented roster. They had 9 guys make it to the NBA.
