The most interesting part ( at least to me) was Clarke's tone and facial expression when he was explaining how Tenet and Black got through two congressional hearings. He basically implied that they were untouchable, at least when it came to this matter. It's no surprise that there are powerful people in the government but to see that even Clark ( a high level government official) was surprised by it, shows just how corrupt and closed off from any boundaries some sectors are.

I guess we have to trust Richard Clark though when he says that the CIA would attempt to infiltrate Al-Qaeda. That's the only thing that bothers me. I mean it's clear to us how amateur Al-Qaeda's operation was; why infiltrate when there is an alert that these guys are planning an attack, soon?

If Al-Qaeda's operation was so amateur, why worry about any sort of attack they could carry out at the time?
The fact is no one saw 9/11 coming. They may have known about an imminent attack but I highly doubt anyone imagined something of that scale happening.
