I always love Serious by AZ and Nas. Second best collab between the two aside from Life's a B.

First MLK and Malcolm, then Pac and BIG

(even the CIA knew Jay-Z and Nas was too beta to be revolutionary)

Sorta SRS

I thought AZ was the most player dude on earth growin up lol

He was
Son was too smooth and had the ill vocabulary. I wanted to be just like him when I was skid. Sons skin would be flawless and have the waves always spinning. Fresh shapeup, mustache trimmed precisely, jiggy clothes and everything. You can tell son smelled good. Pause tho

My perception of hip hop changed for me when I heard Rather Unique. I mean, I've always been on it, but that song just unlocked some new meaning to me. Def brings me back to a good part of my life.

RIP Biggie too. Sky's the Limit and One More Chance remix are my top.

Very glad a bunch of NTers know and appreciate who AZ is

Doe or Die is an underrated classic IMO

** Happy Jackie is a clever and hilarious song :pimp:

RiP Big!

If you think it's trash, why would you listen to it?

Because there are PLENTY of fantastic rappers out nowadays but dudes are out here with the nostalgia goggles on hardbody

Like Alan Moore said: "I prefer to criticize things from a position of ignorance"

Gimmie Yours is my favorite rap song of all time. All time.

HBD AZ

RIP BIg

Heard this song about 2 years ago and legit changed the way I look at rap and I've been hooked since, I've been going on a AZ and Nas binge till this day since I've heard it. Sorry I'm from the South, Nas and AZ hardly ever got radio play down here growing up.
