RIP George Floyd

I like **** Gregory's ideas, make them licensed and give them something valuable, plus train them properly and train them much better than they currently are. If you violate the rules of the license, you lose the ability to practice law in that state like every other job. Also send their kids to school for free, you lose your license you lose that as well. Something in that vein makes sense because you're not really going to touch hearts and minds in this country.

any possibility of reference bias? there are exceptions to the rules...you sure you aren't talking about the exceptions?

the police academy for sure ain't recruiting on-campus on the top universities.

The police departments want race soldiers bruh......
Did you forget the origins of the American Policeman?
What you are speaking is quite naive...and goes against the social design of this country.

lol at "origins" - you act like things don't or shouldn't deviate from its origins

from your experiences, you think there are no problems with the current policemen, but a lot of people feel opposite of that from their own experiences. we can agree to disagree on that point.

It still went over ya head....

This simply isn't true...some of the most academic and socially intelligent people I know are police and previously were mostly Army and Marine infantry.
Please don't ever underestimate a grunt's intelligence. Some people are just really into physical challenging and potentially dangerous jobs.
Some of you just really don't have enough experience in these fields and walks of life to know who you are really dealing with unfortunately.
To beat a race soldier....one must fully understand the race soldier.

I'm speaking from my experience in NYC. Back when I had a Facebook account, anyone I went to school with that became a cop was a moron when we were in school together. This is about 15-20 people and almost every one was dumb as **** in school.

I might have been over shooting when I said 99% are not above average intelligence, but if you picked any 10 random NYPD officers off the street, I'd bet money 6 or more are not smart guys. I'm sure there's intelligent people who work for the police departments but I haven't met many in my experiences.

Buffalo protester Martin Gugino has a fractured skull and cannot walk
By Jacqueline Rose and Eric Levenson, CNN

Updated 4:05 PM ET, Tue June 16, 2020

(CNN)Martin Gugino, the 75-year-old protester who was pushed by two Buffalo, New York, police officers earlier this month, has a fractured skull and is not able to walk, his lawyer said in a statement provided to CNN on Monday.
"I am not at liberty to elaborate at this time other than to confirm that his skull was fractured," Gugino's attorney Kelly Zarcone said. "While he is not able to walk yet, we were able to have a short conversation before he became too tired. He is appreciative of all of the concern about him but he is still focused on the issues rather than himself."
CNN has not been able to speak with Gugino directly, but in her press statement, Zarcone passed along a message from him: "I think it's very unnecessary to focus on me. There are plenty of other things to think about besides me."
Gugino is focused on getting better and he remains in rehabilitation, Zarcone told CNN on Tuesday.

Buffalo police officers plead not guilty to assaulting 75-year-old man at demonstration
Buffalo police officers plead not guilty to assaulting 75-year-old man at demonstration

"Barring something unusual and unforeseen, I don't expect much change at all this week," she said.
Gugino was injured when two police officers shoved him backwards during a protest against racism and police brutality on June 4. Video of the incident shows that he fell to the sidewalk and his head began bleeding as other officers walked by him.
Officers Aaron Torgalski, 39, and Robert McCabe, 32, each pleaded not guilty to second-degree assault and have been released on their own recognizance without bail.
Based on the initial video, police issued a statement that said Gugino tripped and fell, Buffalo Police spokesman Mike DeGeorge told CNN. Police later amended that statement and suspended the officers without pay and opened an investigation.
After video of the incident spread widely -- Gov. Andrew Cuomo said it was "wholly unjustified and utterly disgraceful" -- Gugino became the focus of a conspiracy theory pushed by One America News Network and President Donald Trump that suggested the 75-year-old was an "ANTIFA provocateur" and that his serious injury "could be a set up."

Yeah America makes you seek out real black history instead of teaching it. Shout out to college professors who recommend reading not on the curriculum.
I had a Class my first year at community college, I think it was like a government class or something like that iirc. The first day the prof was basically like I won’t be following what the course outline said, and it turned into a semester of black history. It was actually a really enjoyable and beneficial class for me, definitely more so than the actual govt class would have been.

**** like this is why I dislike everyone who disagrees with not having to take mandatory electives. my favorite classes were electives not related to my major where the professor was tenured and didn’t give a damn.

what did you get your degree in?

no
i dont think it should
theres a police brutality thread
but i dont like using it
its basically just a mega thread
i like these threads being front and center
i dont want other things to clog up each instance
Interesting. My thought is how topics get buried around here, with people simply moving on to the next cause. I’d think with it being planted at the top, that it would be a not so nice reminder to those who think that this really isn’t an issue.

Man I'll write more about it later....but the truth can be dark and horrifying to some.
Not even sure If i should go there considering this NT.
Well, we know that there are those who pay attention to what is said around here, then looking to report those who tell the truth. I had to use hirsute instead of hair the other day....

any regrets getting it then? what do you do?
no regrets at all. I enjoyed college. I definitely would of went to grad school if I had too.

don’t really want to post my job on here cause I have a bad experience with posting personal details on the internet a few years ago.
