RIP Prodigy

This is how you know someone is a musical great--I'm looking on IG and seeing music artists that I never thought would be Mobb/Prodigy fans showing tribute to P. Disclosure? Chromeo? That's crazy to me.

I know dude was never the same after the Jay-Z beef, and yeah his flows fell off. But man...you can't take away that crazy run him and Hav had. Dudes put out classics that forever left an imprint on the game. Personally, I put the 3 album run of The Infamous, Hell on Earth and Murda Muzik up there alongside the runs that ATCQ and Outkast had.

Yall talking bout P fell off after the Hov ****, yeah sure he wasn't on his Hell On Earth and The Infamous ****,

but his last album is fire!

Damn. Was wondering whyon my YouTube a prodigy interview was on the front page.

RIP

RIP, just put on Shook Ones on Youtube and gonna queue up some of the other classics. Prodigy and Havoc had a great run through the 90's to the mid 00's

I'm trying to listen to Mobb Deep right now in remembrance of Prodigy but it's difficult!

Mobb Deep, especially Prodigy is the embodiment of 90s NYC hip hop. It hurts to lose a huge staple point from that era. Especially considering he was only 42. He had so much more to give.

"I put my lifetime in between the paper's lines
I'm the quiet storm N**** who fight rhyme
P, yeah, you heard of him, but I ain't concerned with them
N****, I pop more guns than you holdin' them
Make my route while the sun's out and scold your men
Unload ten in broad daylight, get right
F*** your life! Hop on my '98 dirt bike
You try to stop mines from growin'
I'll make your blood stop flowin'
Take affirmative action, to any a** if he askin'
Now here come the MAC-10
You's a d**** blower, tryin' to speak the Dunn language
What the drilly with that though? It ain't bangin'
You hooked on Mobb-phonics, Infamous-bonics
Lyin' to the Pop Dog like you got it
You ain't no wildin' out for the Knife-Fist thrower
Rusty shank holder, we live this s***"...

Prodigy had a run from The Infamous to Hell On Earth where he was one of the best doing it

He fell off badly. He stopped even rhyming and his flow was terrible. He resorted to talking off beat.

I thought that just last week when I heard
