RIP Prodigy

NYers do foul **** to each other every day B.
True but nobody defaced the Nas the mural that's nearby. That one was also done by one of the guys involved in the Prodigy mural. This is definitely something personal against Prodigy.

Yeah Dallas was wildin' with that theory

Damn.....that sucks. This is sort of a dumb thing to do but they should put a huge plexiglass over it. That way, they can at least clean it easily rather than having to repaint it all the time. But I assume Prodigy made a lot of enemies and this is just one of few people that still has a hit on the guy. Either than or paint a new one on a wall high in the air.

There are other Prodigy murals throughout that city that I've checked out that haven't been defaced. A P mural in QB unfortunately is not the move. Time for another location or maybe an exhibit. I feel bad for Eli and Jeff. Those two dudes put in a lot of time and money (in paint) to do and redo the mural. Real humble cats, no arrogance. They just wanted to honor P but haters are always lurking ready to **** things up.

^^^They know the deal though. It's sort of part of the game in graff where you spend time on something and their work gets painted over or covered up. It's unfortunate but I am sure this isn't the first time this has happened to them.

Where are these other murals within NY of Prodigy? I am from the Bay Area but I make my way to NY for work about once a year. I'd love to just go and check them out.

Ive been posting them in this thread. There's one on Review Ave in Queens. That one might be the first P mural after his passing. Theres one at Franks Chop Shop in Downtown Manhattan. Theres one in Bushwick BK on Central Ave but since thats not a permanent wall, it might not be there now.

Damn

When it first happen I thought maybe it was some kids

But now it's someone or some people who definitely feel some type of way he has a mural in QB and isn't from QB.

What happen to Noyd?

Suspects

Littles, Lake, Capone, Tragedy, Mike Delorean all still seemed to have problems with Prodigy

Infamous Mob, Nore, Mr Cheeks, Saigon, Tru Life, Nas, Ja Rule and Cormega seemed like they got beyond it

And they're obviously still in the bridge or deeply associated with it....so

Last time I listened to Not was 2008. I'm not even sure if he's active on social media. He hasn't been on any recent P and Have stuff either

his passing is so crazy bc of how active he was.

he was always workin, always producing SOMETHING. whether it was a book, album, mixtape, interview, touring, etc. he was always active.

if he had disappeared from the scene for 3 years and then passed, I think it woulda been received differently...

This is how I look at things also

It's different when the person is still active and doing music, touring and interviews.

I wonder why it continues to happen but truth be told, you don't know what this man might of have done.

Perhaps is just a hater or perhaps this dude actually hurt someone.

I think it's some local QB **** because the other Prodigy murals in NYC haven't been hit. Prodigy ruffled a lot of feathers with his first book. Maybe there was some unresolved street ****.

Wasnt he at one point sayin some slick **** about Worm? And dudes doin life? I remember Mega was getting at him for that, not on some beef **** but on some how you gonna talk slick about a man doing life but you weren't saying that when he was free.

Definitely agree with you tho, feel like its something/someone mentioned in that book.

He was talking greasy about Preme when he was inside too.

The artist should have gone through the channels to try and get permission before the mural, so it could have avoided the embarrassment and a lot of work

A lot of QB people supported the mural including Infamous Mobb, DJ Hotday (who used his truck to provide light to the artists while they were restoring the mural during the night), Cormega, etc. I spoke to the artists a couple of times the times that I visited the mural and they told me that the owners of the building they painted on was also affiliated with Havoc and his family. There were a lot of residents that dropped by and gave their own personal stories of Prodigy and Havoc. There was a lot of love for P. I don't know about whether this is Supreme or what but if thats the case, then I imagine other murals would have gotten defaced. Honestly sounds like Mike knows who did it.

LOL @ the argument with the other driver tho
