Oh, wow. Had no idea he was in that condition. Sad story. This guy, along with his father, played a huge behind the scenes role in making the NFL a mainstream power.

Actually his pops, Ed Sabol, founded NFL Films, but he's the face of NFL Films. The NFL probably wouldn't be what it is without the Sabols.

Damn, sad day for true NFL fans. RIP....
Always respected the relationship he had with his father. Not many of us have that. Enjoyed the footage at the end of his pop's HOF NFL Network piece where they were just chatting figuring out where they wanted to go for lunch. You could see how much they loved each other.
